Apr 11 Okonomiyaki Goodness!

Gottsui, of 626 Night Market fame, has just opened in Monterey Park on Garvey. They’re still in their soft-opening phase so they’re only open at night for the time being. Gottsui is in the midst of getting their liquor license, but they have an array of fruit tea drinks to fill the void for the time being.

How clever! I love a good logo! The ninja is beyond cute!

I love me a good fruit drink. I ordered a strawberry iced tea. It came with chunks of strawberry inside.

(Spicy Beef Kobe Okonomiyaki)

The namesake of the restaurant is the okonomiyaki aka Japanese pancake. And it was delicious. More importantly though, the service at Gottsui was truly a cut above the rest. I also really loved that I didn't have to make the pancake myself. I've had disastrous okonomiyaki-making sessions before.
