From Taiwan to San Gabriel Valley-Monja Taike Grand Opening
The Rosemead location of MonJa Taike has been open for just about 3 months. If the name sounds familiar, it’s because it’s the same chain from Taiwan. The most popular dish is their red BBQ pork marinated in red grain. MonJa’s Taiwanese sausage is also delicious, but sweeter than your typical Taiwanese sausages. My must-order every time I’m there is definitely their popcorn chicken. It has a nice crunchy skin to batter ratio. The tomato beef dry noodle is also a must-try.

(Their mei cai dishes are on point! Mei cai is a type of dry pickled Chinese mustard of the Hakka people from Huizhou, Guangdong province, China).
(The hot lemograss with boba, taro, yam is my favorite combination for dessert. Thumbs up! Taiwanese comfort food at its best!)
