At Tip Top Market in San Gabriel, you can order an Indonesian Specook Butter Cake. The cakes are only made when you order them so don’t expect to just walk in and purchase one. They are made in the Irvine area at a personal residence and then transported to the market.

The cake is $60, which is pricey but take into consideration the 7 hours of labor it took to make the individual layers of the cake. The cake is meant to be cut into little horizontal pieces as pictured above.
